Hockey data for club staff

Short answer

Club staff who stitch exports every week get a maintained path from paid sources into one owned EU database: identity matching, a data catalog, and delivery to Power BI, Excel, Streamlit or Claude. The Hockey Brain is data integration and ownership — not a replacement analytics suite — and connectors are Planned or Exploring until founding-club delivery.

Who this is for

Analytics leads, sporting directors, performance staff and anyone who currently owns the unofficial job of downloading CSVs, fixing player names and pasting into the “real” workbook before a meeting. If your club already pays for two or more hockey sources, the bottleneck is usually integration — not another chart pack.

What changes in the workweek

Maintenance stays with The Hockey Brain during the founding program: schema changes, credential rotation and matching review queues, so the analyst hired to analyse is not also a part-time pipeline engineer.

  • One player ID across league, tracking, video exports and internal sheets
  • A catalog that answers what you have, how fresh it is, and where it came from
  • Refresh into Power BI or Excel from tables the club owns — not a desktop export path that breaks
  • Optional read-only Claude questions via MCP on club-approved views (Planned)

How this compares to “hockey analytics companies”

Many vendors sell models, dashboards or feeds. The Hockey Brain sells ownership of the layer underneath: connect the products you already licence with your own keys, keep native IDs, export anytime, and keep using the BI or AI tools you already trust. We are honest about early access — no live connectors, pricing only on the founding-club call, stack map free either way.

No connector is live yet. The Hockey Brain lists every named product as Planned or Exploring — intended compatibility only, not a partnership.

Frequently asked questions

Are you building another hockey dashboard?

No. We feed Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Streamlit and Claude. Staff keep their existing front ends.

Do we need a data engineer on staff?

You need someone who owns licences and access on the club side. During founding-club delivery we maintain the pipelines so that person is not rebuilding exports weekly.

What does it cost?

The stack map is free. Founding clubs pay a fixed pilot fee for the rest of 2026/27, invoiced only after first delivery, with founding pricing locked for 2027/28. Amounts are discussed on the call — not published.
